Why I Created Les Chevaliers en Carton

I created Les Chevaliers en Carton because I read a devastating statistic that completely broke my heart: up to 30% of global development aid and humanitarian funds are completely lost due to corruption and black-market diversion annually. That disgusted me. Out of the roughly 10 million NGOs in existence worldwide, not a single one was universally considered 100% ethical. I realized people who genuinely wanted to help were left feeling completely lost, unsure of who to trust, where their money was actually going, or if their gesture even made an impact.

(Want to read the data yourself? You can look up the official United Nations panel findings archived on Devex: "30 percent of aid lost to corruption – Ban Ki-moon", or review Transparency International’s Global Corruption Statistics tracking public procurement leakage).

I refused to sit back and watch, so I decided to do something about it. I built an entirely new model:

  • The Mother NGO Model: We don't compete with other charities; we protect and fuel them. We scout grassroots movements on the front lines and bring them to you.

  • A Community-Driven Platform: Where you choose exactly which organization deserves to be supported every single month.

  • A 100% Ethical Circular Economy: Where 5% of all profits from my independent shop, La Boutique Activiste (including 5% of all sales from my books) are directly injected into the winning cause.

  • Radical Transparency: No corporate lobbying, no hidden agendas, and zero black boxes.

My Vision

I deeply believe that driving social change should be accessible to everyone. Not just the wealthy. Not just the government. Not just giant, corporate NGOs.

I want to prove that a young Québécoise from a modest background can build a 100% ethical initiative that shakes things up, even with few resources. All it takes is a clear vision, a fierce community, and a lot of heart.

From the Author's Desk: My Books

Beyond activism, writing is how I process the world. You can find both of my independent books available directly right here in my store, and 5% of the profits from every copy sold goes directly back to fuel our monthly NGO:

  • The Day My Teacher Slapped Me: A raw, activist novel about a young North African woman who decides to rebel against her racist teacher. If you are as fed up with the "Karens" of the world as I am, you are going to love this!

  • Dictator, You Seriously Need to Go on a Diet : Detective Lévesque has solved crimes across the world, but his most chaotic partner is Bonaparte, a talking parrot with zero manners and even less fear of dictators.

  • Together, they uncover dangerous secrets, survive impossible missions, and remind every tyrant that power does not protect you from a brutally honest bird.

  • 180 Days to Become the Most Popular Girl in School : After her sister’s death, Bella has 180 days to become the most popular girl at her elite school and take down the girls who destroyed her family.

  • You got down on one knee to propose, then ran away...: A deeply personal collection of love and heartbreak poetry, exploring the raw vulnerability of moments like watching someone get down on one knee to propose... only to turn around and run away.

  • How to Annoy Dictators : A savage, funny, and deeply political poetry collection that refuses to treat powerful men like they are untouchable. Because sometimes, the best way to fight a dictator is to laugh at him until the whole world stops being afraid.

Thank you for supporting an independent writer and fueling a 100% ethical revolution!
